Junior Technical Designer
Skills
- Adobe Illustrator for technical drawings
- Familiarity with PLM systems and BOM management
- Understanding of garment construction, textiles, and fit standards
- Measurement and fit evaluation skills
- Strong organization and documentation practices
- Clear written and verbal communication with vendors and internal teams
- Basic Microsoft Office / Google Workspace proficiency
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain tech packs, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and measurement specs
- Produce and update CADs and technical drawings in Adobe Illustrator
- Support prototype fittings, record fit notes, and document revisions
- Track prototype, pre-production, and TOP sample statuses to meet milestones
- Maintain product data in the PLM system and communicate revisions to vendors
- Assist with lab dips, trims, fabric approvals, and sample consistency checks
- Identify and document quality concerns and support resolution with sourcing
- Receive, track, and distribute marketing samples and maintain sample archives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, sourcing, and production teams
Education
- Associate or Bachelor's in Fashion Design, Textile Science, Product Development or equivalent experience
- Relevant certifications or coursework in technical design or apparel construction are a plus
