We are intentionally hiring the Founding Designer as the first hire in Blueberry’s history. In an AI-native world where code is increasingly commoditized, the companies that win will be the ones with taste. And because our customers are the marketers behind the fastest-growing DTC brands in the world, design excellence is table stakes.
As our Founding Designer, you’ll work directly with the founders to shape Blueberry’s product and brand from the ground up. You’ll influence not only how Blueberry looks and feels, but also how the world’s most ambitious brands authentically engage their customers at scale.
You’ll own the end-to-end product design process — defining our design system and product identity, and shipping polished, high-quality experiences built to meet the standards of global brands. Thanks to you, the product will feel as good as it works.
This is more than a design role — it’s a chance to shape the product and brand DNA of the company. You’ll collaborate closely with founders, partner with early engineers and customers, and lay the foundation for a truly design-led culture.
Design the future of Blueberry alongside the founders, Nima & Sean. You'll work on early feature definition and sit shoulder to shoulder with engineers to ship features and market them to the world.
Establish our core product design language, system, and identity.
Translate customer needs (especially enterprise B2C brands) into elegant, intuitive product experiences.
Prototype, test, iterate: Jump between "explore" mode (trying wild ideas, prototyping in Figma or code with AI tools like Cursor/V0) and "exploit" mode (perfecting promising features, nailing interactions, typography, and motion).
Design and ship features — from flows and wireframes to pixel-perfect UI.
Set the bar for taste and usability in every customer-facing surface.
Contribute to our outward-facing visual identity (product marketing videos/animations, sales decks, brand moments) to ensure consistency across touchpoints.
Build the foundation for a future product & design teams — mentoring, codifying standards, and scaling design practice.
A product designer with 3+ years of experience, ideally in AI, SaaS, consumer apps, or direct-to-consumer products.
You move fast, take initiative, and care deeply about doing things right.
You don’t just point out problems — you roll up your sleeves and solve them.
You bring a clear point of view on what excellence looks like, while staying collaborative and low-ego (this is incredibly important across every team member).
You’re your own toughest critic and hold yourself to an exceptionally high bar—90% isn’t good enough
