Accounts Payable & Travel Program Analyst

We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented finance professional to lead and support core functions across Accounts Payable (AP), Travel & Expense (T&E), and finance systems administration. This role goes beyond transactional processing, requiring strong analytical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to independently manage exception-driven workflows and cross-functional initiatives.

As Accounts Payable & Travel Program Analyst, you will oversee automated invoice processing, ensure compliance with internal controls, and serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. You will drive innovation through automation, AI initiatives, and financial transformation projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and data integrity.

What you will do:

Process Innovation & Reporting

• Develop and analyze AP performance and T&E compliance metrics and dashboards to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Drive automation and AI initiatives to streamline transactional processes and reduce manual workload.
• Lead financial transformation projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and system integration.

Invoice-to-Pay Governance

• Oversee system-driven invoice processing by monitoring exception queues and validating compliance with P2P controls. Investigate and resolve discrepancies partnering with procurement, business, and BLP Cash Management team.
• Ensure timely payment submissions in accordance with vendor terms.

Stakeholder & Vendor Engagement

• Function as a primary contact for internal teams and external vendors regarding invoicing, payments, and account updates.
• Ensure timely and professional resolution of all inquiries, fostering positive vendor relationships.

Travel & Expense (T&E) Program Oversight

• Review and approve employee expense reports to ensure policy adherence and accurate financial coding.
• Provide guidance to employees on T&E policies and system usage.
• Maintain the T&E support inbox and resolve issues promptly and professionally.

Training & Knowledge Enablement

• Develop and deliver interactive training for employees on expense compliance, and AP best practices.
• Create and maintain clear, concise training materials, user guides, and standard operating procedures.
• Support onboarding efforts for new system rollouts or updated financial policies.

Program Administration & Compliance

• Serve as Administrator for cross-functional market research programs, ensuring operational consistency and compliance.
• Monitor internal controls and support audit and reporting needs across AP and T&E functions.

You need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related area preferred.
• Equivalent professional work experience considered.
• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, procurement, or finance operations.
• Knowledge of the procure-to-pay lifecycle and general accounting principles.
• Knowledge of finance systems and related technologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with data analysis or reporting tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead training and explain processes in simple terms.
• Interest or experience in AI or automation tools within finance functions is highly desirable.
