This role ensures that all students—regardless of ability—have the resources, support, and access needed to reach their full creative and academic potential.

Key Responsibilities
The Director provides strategic and operational leadership for Berklee’s Accessibility Resources for Students (ARS) team, which includes the MIND Neurodiversity Program, Academic Coaching, Accommodated Testing, Assistive Technology, and Alternate Format services. In this role, the Director will:

  • Ensure compliance with ADA and Section 504 regulations and serve as Berklee’s Section 504 Coordinator.
  • Partner with faculty, staff, and students to promote universal design and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Oversee programs and services across all Berklee campuses, including Boston, Valencia, and NYC.
  • Manage budgets, assess program effectiveness, and lead professional development initiatives.
  • Represent Berklee in regional and national professional networks related to accessibility and disability services.

What Berklee is Looking For

  • A master’s degree in Education, Rehabilitation Counseling, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience supporting the disability community.
  • Strong knowledge of ADA and Section 504, and best practices in higher education accessibility.
  • Proven success in supervising staff and leading mission-driven initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholders.
  • (Preferred) Experience in arts education and/or supporting neurodivergent students.
