Key Responsibilities
External Purchasing Planning Process Optimization
Analyze and refine site supply chain processes to enhance service and buyer efficiency.
Document the as-is and to-be process.
Drive CI in external purchasing processes and system methodologies (MRP).
Run process improvement workshops.
Identify and promote best practices while ensuring Global Alignment and Standardization
Maintain priority focus list per agreement with VP of the respective area.
Coordinate SMEs (key users) community for processes in scope
Align on requirements from the other excellence workstreams.
Training: develop materials & trains employees in process introduction
Process Adoption
Develop procedure and policies for In-process control and monitor system adherence.
Assess, implement, and recommend technologies and tools that provide a direct link to process performance (Service, Inventory, etc.)
Design process remediation based on SAP & JDE data
Use of central process methodology
Lead change management initiatives and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Governance and Compliance: Establish policies, procedures, and quality standards
Lead and run governance sessions
Monitor results and exceptions
Develop Insight and analytics to support decision making in process implementation
Establish and track KPIs to monitor system performance globally
Support power BI implementation and guide performance corrections
Competencies & Skills
Supply Chain and Planning Knowledge
Procurement: Understanding of Supplier relationship management, contract management, spend analytics and supply risk management to ensure a balanced flow of material.
Site purchasing: Understanding of ERP system transactions, risk management, inventory management, EDI, purchase order life cycle management, quality requirements and regulatory.
Kinaxis, SAP & JDE: Expert level system knowledge including reports, tables, data and transactions required for role
E2E Supply Chain management: Knowledge of supply chain processes from sourcing and production to logistics and distribution.
Replenishment Strategies: Knowledge of replenishment techniques to manage purchased inventory flow in MRO, OEM & raw materials to manage excess, obsolete, overstock and material shortages
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
Data Analysis: Ability to interpret and analyze data to make informed decisions, including ability to understand behavior and root cause behind data & outcomes
Process Optimization: Skills in identifying inefficiencies and implementing improvements within purchasing processes.
Optimization and Modeling: Proficiency in creating models for inventory, supply constraints & system utilization, optimizing the balance between cost, service level, and demand.
KPI Monitoring: Skills in tracking and interpreting key performance indicators (KPIs) like on-time delivery, blocked & held invoices and inventory turnover to assess and improve performance
Technical Skills
ERP and Planning Systems: Proficiency with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems like SAP, JDE, AS400, or specific supply chain management software (e.g., SAP APO, Kinaxis).
Advanced Excel and potentially other tools like SQL, Python, or Power BI for data handling and visualization.
Advanced familiarity with global procurement technologies for e-sourcing, spend analytics, supplier management and supply risk management.
Project Management
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work closely with logistics, production, planning, finance, procurement, and sales teams
Project Execution: Strong organizational skills and leadership skills to manage and drive projects, often within tight timelines.
Communication and Stakeholder Management
Effective Communication: Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
Influence and Negotiation: Skills to negotiate with suppliers or internal stakeholders and to ensure alignment on supply chain goals.

Education and Experience
Bachelor or master’s degree
5+ years’ experience across multiple business units and differentiated supply chains
