Your Role at Baxter
We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Lead to join our Advanced Surgery business team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for leading the design, development, and sustaining engineering of cutting-edge medical devices that transform lives.
What you'll be doing:
Drive Technical Innovation: Create design concepts and research methodologies that best meet current and future customer & business needs for a product or process domain area.
Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Provide technical leadership to project teams working closely with the Project Manager, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, and key technical core team members.
Manage Complex Projects: Manage phase gate and technical design reviews, and identify critical project risks.
Ensure Compliance: Foster an environment of rigor, completeness, and compliance when participating on plant CAPA, CC, or FCA investigations/assessments.
Communicate Effectively: Define and communicate strategic imperatives for innovative technology success and cost savings, and defend products to external agencies and corporate evaluations/audits.
What you'll bring:
Technical Expertise: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Biomedical/Bioengineering, or related field with over 5 years of experience, or Master's degree in Engineering with more than 3 years of experience.
Project Management Skills: Demonstrated project management skills, including project scheduling, resource allocation and management, risk management, project finances, and partner/contract management.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, influence, and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve challenging goals.
Business Acumen: Demonstrated good business judgment in balancing budget, profitability, and vendor relationships.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $104,000-$143,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
