Casting: 'Danbury'

Casting "Danbury," a short film, based on a true story. Synopsis: Set in 1970s Danbury, Connecticut, this true crime thriller follows two white brothers, John and Jimmy Pardue, as they manipulate two young black men, Leon and Cliff, into taking part in a violent and calculated heist. After the once seemingly non-violent heist goes askew, John and Jimmy force the hands of Leon and Cliff, testing their desperation and using the racially charged American times to their advantage. “Danbury” shines a spotlight on racial inequality, the abuse of the justice system, and the lengths young men would go to do what they believe is “fair”. The film captures the emotional fallout of the late 1960s: the assassinations, the Vietnam War, the Beatles’ breakup, and the death of idealism.
