- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification
- Minimum three years hands-on aircraft maintenance experience
- Demonstrated instructional or training ability in technical subjects
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), SharePoint, and Teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Record keeping, assessment, and compliance management
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and maintain attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Deliver scheduled classroom and lab instruction in aircraft maintenance principles and practices
- Develop, review, and refine curriculum and course materials to meet industry and FAA standards
- Maintain accurate academic and attendance records, grades, and evaluations
- Ensure classroom and laboratory safety, organization, and proper maintenance of tools and equipment
- Provide individualized student support, monitor attendance, and apply retention strategies
- Participate in instructor evaluations, professional development, faculty meetings, and in-service training
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of department equipment and supplies
- Collaborate with Program Coordinator and campus leadership on scheduling and program improvements
Education
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Associate's degree in related field (preferred)
