Job Title: AVEVA Government Relations Advisor, Americas.
Location: Washington DC
The role will report directly to the Vice President of Government Affairs and Public Policy who is based in London, UK, and will also work closely with AVEVA’s commercial teams including the SVP, Americas, and the Senior Director, Business Affairs & Strategic Initiatives in San Leandro.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and implement AVEVA’s public policy strategy in the United States and across the Americas region.
Lead independent projects and initiatives in collaboration with AVEVA teams, Schneider Electric, and external partners.
Represent AVEVA in industry groups, business coalitions, and with policymakers.
Advance AVEVA’s leadership across core focus areas by building on the company’s footprint in the Americas.
Build relationships with policymakers, industry bodies, research organizations, trade groups, and customers to advance AVEVA’s policy agenda at the intersection of digital, industrial, and energy policy arenas.
Collaborate with customers and partners to deliver projects that showcase AVEVA’s software as a driver of industrial innovation.
Build strategic partnerships with research institutes to apply AVEVA’s software in research projects targeted at solving relevant industrial challenges around productivity, efficiency and decarbonization.
Strengthen AVEVA’s visibility in the U.S., Canada, and Brazil while shaping global policy initiatives in key focus areas.
Collaborate with Schneider Electric’s North American Government Relations team and Digital Policy team to align AVEVA’s public policy strategy with Schneider Electric’s agenda.
Develop AVEVA’s policy positioning and thought leadership on the future of energy and industrial digitization.
Advance company visibility, relationships, policy influence, and participation in cutting-edge industrial innovation projects.
Focus on key industrial sectors: power and water infrastructure, smart manufacturing, marine, and metals & mining.
Drive policy engagement on digital transformation, including the role of digitization, data, and AI in industrial modernization.
Qualifications:
5–7 years of experience in energy, technology, or industrial policy, gained in settings such as federal or state government, industry associations, NGOs, or corporate government affairs roles.
Experience in AI, energy infrastructure, or AI adoption within industry is a plus.
Project management experience, including coordinating programs involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Motivated to gain private sector experience and develop skills in business and corporate strategy.
Highly organized, self-starting, and able to manage multiple projects across cross-functional teams.
Skilled at building networks, facilitating connections, and forming coalitions of partners.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including strong presentation abilities.
