RN Manager, Labor and Delivery

In this leadership role, you will oversee the clinical operations of a busy labor and delivery department, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care for mothers and newborns. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of the Labor and Delivery unit to ensure safe and effective care delivery.
- Recruit, train, and mentor nursing staff, fostering professional development and teamwork.
- Implement and evaluate protocols, guidelines, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and manage departmental budgets, resources, and staffing levels.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and experience.
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring their rights and needs are met throughout the labor and delivery process.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in maternal and neonatal care.
- Active RN license in the state of practice.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery or Women's Health.
- 2+ years of leadership experience in a nursing management role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of nursing practices, labor and delivery standards, and quality metrics.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Current certifications in BLS and ACLS; NRP certification preferred.
