Phlebotomist
Avant Tech is excited to announce an opening for a Full-Time Phlebotomist. In this essential role, you will be responsible for performing blood draws and other specimen collections to support accurate diagnostic testing. You will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care with compassion and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venipunctures and capillary draws for patients of all ages.
- Ensure proper patient identification and specimen labeling before and after collection.
- Prepare and maintain equipment for procedures while adhering to safety protocols.
- Handle and transport specimen samples in accordance with laboratory standards.
- Educate patients on the blood draw process and provide reassurance to reduce anxiety.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following infection control practices.
- Document patient information, procedures performed, and results accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed to ensure efficient laboratory operations.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a phlebotomy training program is preferred.
- Certification as a Phlebotomist (e.g., CPT, PBT) is a plus.
- Previous experience in a clinical laboratory or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow safety and procedural guidelines.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records.
- Schedule: Full-Time Phlebotomists: Monday-Friday
- 5:30 AM 2:00 PM + rotating weekends

- Contract Length: Up to 4 years
