Job Description

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Tax Analyst II to join our Tax Provision & Compliance team in Auburn Hills, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the company's tax provision and compliance processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.

  • Prepare and review federal, state, and international tax provisions
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of US federal and state income tax returns
  • Analyze and reconcile book-to-tax differences
  • Support the quarterly and annual tax provision process
  • Perform monthly tax account reconciliations 
  • Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations, assessing their impact on the company
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary financial data
  • Maintain and update tax workpapers and documentation
  • Assist in responding to internal and external audit requests
  • Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the tax department

Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA certification preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in tax provision and compliance
  • Advanced knowledge of tax accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in tax provision software (e.g., CorpTax, OneSource)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
  • Experience with US GAAP and IFRS reporting standards
  • In-depth knowledge of US tax laws and regulations
  • Understanding of international tax principles
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
