Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer with deep expertise in Okta. In this role, you will design, implement, and manage identity solutions that enable secure, scalable, and compliant access across the organization. You’ll partner with IT, security, and business stakeholders to strengthen our IAM environment and help drive best practices in access governance.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and manage IAM solutions with a primary focus on Okta.
Oversee identity lifecycle processes, including provisioning, de-provisioning, and access reviews.
Integrate enterprise applications with Okta using SAML, OIDC, and SCIM.
Develop and maintain Okta Workflows, policies, and automation scripts for onboarding and offboarding.
Configure and enforce MFA, SSO, and RBAC across enterprise systems.
Collaborate with application owners, HR, and security teams to align access with role-based policies.
Monitor, audit, and respond to identity-related security incidents.
Support governance, risk, and compliance requirements related to IAM.
Stay current with emerging IAM technologies, security threats, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of IAM experience with at least 3+ years hands-on with Okta (administration or engineering).
Strong knowledge of SSO, MFA, RBAC, SCIM, SAML, OIDC, OAuth.
Experience integrating SaaS and on-premises applications with Okta.
Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Strong collaboration skills and ability to partner across IT, HR, and business teams.
Clear communicator who can explain complex technical topics in simple terms.
Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Adaptable to change and comfortable working in fast-paced environments.
Proactive problem solver who takes ownership and drives results.
Preferred Qualifications
Okta Certified Professional or higher-level certification.
Experience with Okta Workflows, API integrations, or identity governance platforms (SailPoint, Saviynt, etc.).
Familiarity with cloud IAM models (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Exposure to security tools such as SIEM, PAM, or DLP.
Experience working in highly regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare).
Annual Salary Range: $95,000-$115,000/year, with a generous benefits package that includes paid time off, health, dental, vision, and 401(k) savings plan with match.
