Job Responsibilities
Provide expert guidance to clients on U.S. and international indirect tax matters, including VAT, GST, sales/use tax, and other transaction-based taxes
Lead and manage indirect tax consulting and compliance engagements across multiple jurisdictions
Advise clients on tax-efficient structuring of cross-border transactions and supply chains
Collaborate with foreign accounting firms in our international network to support inbound and outbound client needs
Identify and implement indirect tax planning opportunities to optimize client operations and reduce tax liabilities
Assist partners with business development efforts and promote awareness of our indirect tax capabilities across the firm
Conduct technical research and deliver tailored solutions for complex indirect tax issues
Monitor global indirect tax developments and proactively advise clients on regulatory changes and implications
Manage engagement economics (billings, collections, realization) and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely follow-up
Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for value-added services and long-term growth
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or related discipline
CPA, JD, EA, LLM, or equivalent credential
Minimum of 10 years of experience in U.S. and international indirect tax consulting/compliance within public accounting or industry
Minimum of 5 years in a managerial role involving client service and team leadership
Proven ability to lead complex tax engagements with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Taxation, Accounting, International Business, or related field
Experience with ERP systems and indirect tax automation tools
Familiarity with global VAT/GST regimes and digital services tax frameworks

Certain states require us to disclose the pay range and benefits summary for job openings. For Northern California residents, the compensation range for this position: $210,000-$260,000. For Southern California residents, the compensation range for this position: $200,000-$250,000. For Washington residents, the compensation range for this position: $200,000-$250,000. For New York residents, the compensation range for this position: $200,00-$250,000. For Illinois residents, the compensation range for this position: $200,000-$250,000. Compensation may vary based on skills, role, and location. Eligible employees at certain levels can participate in a discretionary long-term financial incentive plan, subject to plan participation rules.
