Skills
- 6–10+ years in QA with 3+ years building QA processes across web, mobile, and devices
- Ownership of SIT, regression programs, and formal release gates
- Hands-on experience with automation tools (Playwright/Cypress, Appium/XCUITest/Espresso, pytest/Robot) and HIL frameworks
- Experience with CI systems (GitHub Actions/GitLab/Jenkins), artifact versioning, and feature flags
- Testing experience for BLE/Wi-Fi/LTE flows, OTA updates, and cloud APIs
- Strong defect taxonomy, risk analysis, and root-cause analysis practices
- Ability to follow safety protocols and operate firearms platforms under supervision when required
- Eligible for access to restricted information/facilities (U.S. Citizenship required)
Responsibilities
- Define and own QA strategy, defect lifecycle, test plans, entry/exit criteria, and release readiness processes across environments
- Design and run release governance including change calendar, go/no-go decisioning, rollback plans, and release notes
- Develop system integration (SIT) and end-to-end regression programs spanning cloud, Android, and device firmware
- Stand up and maintain automation frameworks (UI/API/mobile/hardware-in-the-loop) and CI gates
- Operate and manage device test rigs (benchtop, HIL, OTA, environmental/smoke) and mobile device farms
- Select and manage test management, defect tracking, analytics, and release dashboards; publish quality KPIs and trend reports
- Mentor engineering teams on testability, coordinate external QA vendors, and partner with Product/Engineering/Security
- Drive reductions in defect escape rate, MTTR, and change fail rate while improving on-time releases
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Eligibility for federal security screening and NISPOM compliance (U.S. Citizenship required)
