What You'll Do:
The Dental Lab Assistant supports student academic success by preparing, assisting, and resetting lab sessions under the supervision of the Program Director for Dental Assisting.
- Prepare and organize lab materials, instruments, and supplies for student labs and practical sessions.
- Set up, clean, and disinfect dental simulation units and equipment to ensure a safe and effective learning environment.
- Assist instructors during lab classes by demonstrating procedures and offering guidance to students.
- Support students in developing foundational clinical and lab skills, including impression-taking and tray setups.
- Sterilize instruments and enforce proper infection control protocols.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage dental supplies and lab materials.
- Ensure lab safety and compliance with OSHA standards and institutional regulations.

Must have:
- Certificate or Diploma in Dental Assisting.
- Working knowledge of dental materials, equipment and infection control protocols.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to support students in an encouraging and supportive manner.
Nice to have:
- Prior experience in a dental office or clinical setting.
- Teaching experience in secondary education.
- CPR certification.
