A Bit About Us:
We are Arcadia Science, an evolutionary biology company founded and led by scientists. Our mission is to turn natural innovations into real-world solutions by developing systematic, and quantitative approaches to leveraging biology for therapeutics R&D. We share our research as openly as possible to accelerate discovery and engage with the broader scientific community.
The Opportunity:
Arcadia is always looking for smart, driven people to level us up. If you believe you have a game-changing skillset or perspective that can augment our mission, challenge our assumptions, or accelerate our progress, we are interested in hearing from you. Pitch us your idea for a role at Arcadia.

Education/Experience:
We are open to a wide array of backgrounds that could contribute to our mission at Arcadia. We are looking for candidates who have demonstrable expertise in their fields who we can learn something new from. Applicants should have at least 5 years of experience in their field, concrete examples of work, and relevant references. We are excited about candidates who are values-driven leaders in their respective domains.
What We Look For In Applicants:
The first thing we look for is technical talent at the leading edge of a field. To us, this means independent and generative scientists doing basic research that has the potential to produce evidence challenging standard practices. This is true for all of our roles: whether someone is an individual contributor or a people manager, we want researchers pushing their field forward.
More tactically, we are looking for people who are quick to act and can articulate themselves clearly through writing. Our team is flexible and often needs to pivot to match the pace of development at the cutting edge of multiple fields. Bias to action is key. Writing independently is crucial since we share everything we think is valuable to the community and will help us move our research forward.
We try to develop novel approaches for every aspect of our science, and everyone on our team is expected to innovate in their domain. This is not easy, and won’t be for everyone. We believe a culture where this is possible stems from how we act. You can learn more about this through our Operating Principles. You can also get a better sense of our values in practice through our blog posts, virtual open houses, and podcast interviews, which are linked here.
Submission Process:
Interested individuals should send a resume and a one-page cover letter delineating how they would raise the bar at Arcadia. In the cover letter, include a succinct proposed job description that we should consider. Arcadia expects candidates to work on-site and to articulate how their skills and goals align with Arcadia’s mission.
Arcadia Science is an equal opportunity workplace; we welcome people from all backgrounds and communities. We provide competitive compensation and practical benefits to keep you happy and healthy so that you can do your best work.
Please note that an offer of employment from Arcadia is contingent upon the successful clearance of a reference and background check.
Disclaimer: This opening is not a part of any dedicated search process. Therefore, candidates should not expected to be contacted unless their application fits clear needs at this time. If candidates have not received any response within 30 days, they should consider their application unsuccessful at this time. Thank you for understanding. Please feel free to re-apply in the future.
If an employer mentions a salary or salary range on their job, we display it as an "Employer Estimate". If a job has no salary data, Rise displays an estimate if available.
