3D Technical Artist Manager
Skills
- Proficiency with real-time 3D engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity.
- Strong understanding of asset optimization, PBR workflows, shaders, VFX, and visual fidelity.
- Experience in tool development using Python, C#, or similar scripting languages.
- Excellent cross-functional communication and collaborative skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead a technical artist team developing tools and pipelines for scalable 3D simulation content creation.
- Define and improve best practices for real-time asset workflows, rendering, and visual quality.
- Collaborate with product managers, 3D artists, and rendering experts to set roadmaps and quality standards.
- Guide feature development including procedural content, materials, and lighting systems.
- Ensure virtual environments are performant, scalable, and visually compelling.
- Work with internal teams and external partners to scale 3D content production.
- Mentor team members and support their career development.
Education
- Typically relevant higher education or equivalent experience in technical art or related fields.
