At Apiphany, we are transforming the manufacturing industry with AI-driven
solutions—leveraging machine learning, computer vision, and automation to
optimize production workflows, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency. As a
Full-Stack Engineer, you’ll be a key player in designing and building AI-
powered applications that seamlessly integrate with real-world factory
operations.
This is a 0-to-1 product development opportunity, where you’ll work
closely with engineers, product managers, and industry experts to create
software that drives measurable impact in manufacturing environments.
You’ll be responsible for building scalable, reliable, and high-performance
systems that enable manufacturers to harness the power of AI, solving some
of the most complex and high-stakes challenges in industrial production.
If you thrive on tackling hard technical challenges, working in high-
uncertainty environments, and shipping production-grade AI
solutions that interact with the physical world, this role is for you.
Core Responsibilities
Develop AI-powered manufacturing applications – Build full-stack
solutions that integrate real-time AI models for predictive
maintenance, anomaly detection, defect classification, and
process optimization.
Engineer for complexity and scale – Design and implement robust,
distributed systems that handle large-scale data pipelines, streaming
industrial sensor data, and real-time AI inference.
Integrate with factory-floor systems – Work with industrial IoT
(IIoT), MES, SCADA, PLCs, and edge computing to deploy AI
models that interact with manufacturing processes in real time.
Bridge AI and human decision-making – Develop intuitive, high-
performance interfaces that allow operators, engineers, and managers
to interpret AI-driven insights and take action.
Own the full-stack – Build and optimize front-end applications (React,
TypeScript, etc.) and backend services (Python, Node.js, or similar),
ensuring seamless end-to-end experiences.
Ship in real-world production environments – Deploy software that
runs in factories, on edge devices, or in the cloud—working within the
constraints of industrial infrastructure.
Iterate quickly in a high-uncertainty domain – Prototype, test, and
refine solutions based on direct user feedback and real-world
performance data.
What We’re Looking For
0-to-1 product development experience – You’ve built and shipped
software from scratch, navigating uncertainty and scaling from MVP to
production.
Full-stack engineering expertise – Proficiency in front-end
frameworks (React, TypeScript) and backend development (Python,
Node.js, or similar).
Deep manufacturing domain knowledge – Experience working with
industrial automation, predictive maintenance, process
optimization, quality control, or smart factory technologies.
AI/ML deployment experience – Familiarity with integrating ML
models into production applications using tools like TensorFlow,
PyTorch, or ONNX.
Industrial data experience – Knowledge of working with time-series
sensor data, machine telemetry, and real-time control systems.
Cloud and edge computing expertise – Comfort with deploying
applications on AWS, GCP, or Azure, as well as running AI models on
edge devices.
Passion for solving complex problems – A mindset that thrives on
tackling multi-layered, technical challenges with high real-world
impact.
Bias for action – You take ownership, move fast, and execute in high-
stakes environments where precision and reliability matter.
Nice to Have
Experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES), SCADA,
or PLC programming
Familiarity with real-time streaming frameworks (Kafka, MQTT, or
similar)
Knowledge of edge AI, embedded systems, or industrial robotics
