Skills
- Proficient C programming for embedded systems
- Experience with an RTOS and real-time software development
- Familiarity with communication buses and protocols (CAN/CANFD, UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553, ARINC, etc.)
- Systems programming: algorithms, data structures, concurrency and optimization
- Device driver development and hardware interfacing
- Experience creating test fixtures, HIL/SIL simulations, and supporting fielded systems
- Able to obtain and maintain U.S. Secret security clearance
Responsibilities
- Design and implement trusted, safety-critical Vehicle Management Systems balancing constraints and requirements
- Develop scalable vehicle sub-systems: sensor processing, state estimation, contingency management, actuation and payload interfaces
- Implement real-time embedded software on an RTOS and author device drivers for a variety of sensors and actuators
- Create software-and hardware-in-the-loop test and simulation fixtures
- Contribute reusable software components across product lines and support manufacturing, deployment, and sustainment
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team and travel to co-locate with users/teams up to 20% of the time
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
