Skills
- Strong foundation in machine learning algorithms and computer vision (classical and deep learning)
- Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch
- Experience with full ML lifecycle: data prep, training, validation, deployment
- Ability to optimize models for real-time and resource-constrained deployments
- Experience working with sensor data (EO/IR) and multi-sensor fusion is highly desirable
- Strong technical communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain U.S. Secret security clearance
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize ML models for object detection, image enhancement, and perception on EO/IR sensors
- Drive ML solutions from data preparation through training, validation, and deployment in resource-constrained, real-time environments
- Collaborate closely with hardware and systems engineers to translate sensor characteristics into robust models
- Profile and optimize models for edge deployment (quantization, TensorRT, ONNX workflows)
- Build and maintain training and inference pipelines, including data ingestion and processing
- Validate model performance on real-world sensor data and iterate to improve robustness and generalization
- Document models and workflows and communicate technical tradeoffs to cross-functional teams
Education
- BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field (required)
- MS or PhD in relevant field preferred
