- Proficient in CAD software and ability to produce industry-standard engineering drawings
- Hands-on fabrication skills
- Strong application of engineering first principles
- Experience with collegiate project teams or laboratories
- Ability to work onsite in Costa Mesa or Irvine for 12 weeks
Responsibilities
- Design and build prototypes, analyze failures, and transition successful projects into production
- Conduct design reviews and run engineering analysis
- Visit vendors and design & execute hardware test plans
- Apply first principles physics for engineering decisions
- Gain exposure to missile integration and testing
- Travel to test sites and vendors as needed
Education
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field
- Currently enrolled in undergrad or graduate engineering program
- Rising senior status requiring continuation in school after internship
