- UAS integration and hands-on flight test experience (Group 3)
- Test planning, execution, and data analysis
- Understanding of the National Airspace System and UAS regulations
- Familiarity with rotary- and fixed-wing aerodynamics and flight control systems
- Project coordination and technical documentation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability and willingness to travel and work extended hours when required
- Eligible to obtain and maintain U.S. Secret security clearance
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute focused test plans for internal and customer trials of Group 3 UAS.
- Conduct rigorous flight testing and performance evaluations to validate system requirements and reliability.
- Deploy to remote test sites across the US and occasionally overseas to support field trials.
- Create and maintain baseline safety plans and risk mitigations for flight operations.
- Coordinate with program, T&E leadership, and cross-functional teams; attend weekly stand-ups and provide progress reports.
- Document test results, lessons learned, and provide actionable feedback to engineering and product teams.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field (required)
- Advanced degree in engineering, robotics, computer science, or related field (preferred)
