C++ Technical Lead, Intelligence Systems
Skills
- Deep C++ (and C) production software development experience
- Proven leadership building and scaling agile software teams
- Experience integrating software with custom hardware and sensors
- Ability to navigate large, complex codebases and system architectures
- Active U.S. Top Secret security clearance (must be eligible and maintainable)
Responsibilities
- Define and own software roadmap, milestones, and execution plans aligned to program deliverables
- Lead interdisciplinary teams (software, test & evaluation, hardware) to deliver integrated systems comprised of multiple libraries and services
- Establish and enforce software engineering best practices: coding standards, reviews, source control, build and test processes
- Manage and mentor software engineers, set technical direction, remove blockers, and track progress
- Perform hands-on development for critical tasks and to meet program deadlines
- Plan and coordinate technical integrations of third-party systems and APIs
- Create and analyze telemetry and metrics for debugging and operational monitoring
- Triage issues, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate corrective actions with internal and external teams
- Serve as primary technical point of contact with customers and external partners; represent technical status and risks
- Travel (up to ~15%) to conduct field tests, deployments, and integration at test ranges
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) preferred but not required
