Senior AI Engineer
Skills
- Strong backend engineering experience building data-intensive, production systems at scale.
- Hands-on experience with Python web frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Sanic.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Experience deploying AI/search services including vector search and LLM-based features.
- Knowledge of asynchronous programming, streaming data, caching, and observability.
- Experience optimizing performance and cost of cloud services and CI/CD pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement highly scalable services for AI and search products.
- Improve reliability, latency, and cost-efficiency of AI/search systems in cloud environments.
- Deploy AI and search services to SaaS and single-tenant cloud environments.
- Translate product requirements into robust software architectures with Product Management.
- Address LLM-specific challenges (latency, variance) with defensive, fault-first solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and implement software development best practices (testing, CI/CD).
- Instrument services with logging, metrics, and analytics to understand production behavior.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Advanced degrees (MS/PhD) in relevant fields are a plus but not required.
