Information Security Engineer
Skills
- 3–6 years of experience in information security engineering or related technical domains
- Strong understanding of cloud security (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and modern cloud environments
- Hands-on experience operating and managing SIEM, EDR, SAST, SOAR, and posture/threat detection tools (3+ years)
- Proficiency scripting or automating with Python, Bash, Go, or similar languages
- Solid knowledge of common internet threats, attack vectors, and mitigation strategies
- Deep understanding of computer systems, networks, and low-level protocols from a security perspective
- Experience with incident detection, response, and vulnerability management
- Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
Responsibilities
- Design and automate security controls, detection mechanisms, and tooling for infrastructure and products
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new security technologies and frameworks
- Implement and maintain monitoring, detection, and remediation systems to protect customer and company data
- Partner with engineering and product teams to integrate security into features and development pipelines
- Improve security standards, processes, and best practices across the organization
- Perform risk assessments and threat modeling for core systems and third-party vendors
- Participate in and sometimes lead incident response and post-incident analysis
- Support compliance initiatives (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR) and manage bug bounty/vulnerability disclosure programs
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related technical field, or equivalent experience
- Relevant industry certifications or continuous professional training preferred
