Airbus is looking for a Equipment Supply Chain Manager to join our Supply Management team based in Mobile, Alabama.
You will be part of a team responsible for overseeing and optimizing the management of Equipment & Systems Onsite Suppliers (OSS) for the A320 Program at the Mobile Manufacturing Site (MMS). As part of the Supply Management team, you will be the first point of contact for Logistics on any ordering, planning, and issues related to direct ordered material.

Our team members ensure on-time delivery and on-quality of equipment and systems, drawing on their expertise in Industrial, Operations & Quality Management, and strong relationship building skills to problem-solve and proactively mitigate supply chain issues.

On ‘Airbus Way’ you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. Your Challenges:
Management of Supplier-related non-conforming items and rework (50 %)
Ensure adequate management of supplier related non-conformances (NC, QSR, SARI) in accordance with the applicable Airbus procedures.
Coordinate onsite rework based on production scheduling and prioritization
Ensure supplier adherence to Airbus contractual requirements and standards.
Act as the primary point of contact for all onsite supplier activities and relationships within scope.
Monitor, measure, and report on supplier performance against established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as quality, delivery, cost, safety, and compliance.
Conduct regular onsite performance reviews with suppliers, identifying areas for improvement and developing corrective action plans.
Ensure suppliers adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures while working on company premises.
Address and resolve day-to-day operational issues, escalations, and disputes related to onsite supplier activities efficiently and effectively.
Act as A320 FAL Interface for the Procurement Industrial Equipment (PIE) community (5%)
Ensure alignment of A320 FAL Mobile internal stakeholders with PIE community.
Resolve operational issues related to PIE components in A320 FAL Mobile.
Ensure adequate deployment of PIE methods, processes and tools in A320 FAL Mobile for the applicable scope.
Ensure adequate participation of A320 FAL Mobile stakeholders within the PIE governance.
Act as focal point in A320 FAL point for the PIE community in Europe and North America.
Material Flow & Procurement Operations (30%)
Procurement and Supplier Management: Manage purchase orders, forecasts, and contracts with suppliers. This involves placing orders, ensuring terms are met, and strategically engaging with suppliers to improve efficiency and collaboration. Manage on-time delivery (OTD) collaboration process, initiate proactive actions. E2E Management of Purchase Orders. Engage strategically with transnational suppliers (remotely and/or on-site), acting as a key, proactive partner within the procurement community, providing insights to the Supply Chain Quality Manager and Commercial Buyer.
Supply Chain Optimization: Proactively identify and resolve supply chain disruptions. Lead actions to reduce missing parts and late deliveries: early warning to the customer and hierarchy, risk management, follow up deliveries and instigate mitigation actions. Optimize data related to inventory and logistics, and contribute to the overall efficiency of material flows.
Operational Support: Support daily operations by managing reorders for rejected or damaged parts, handling invoice approvals, and facilitating the introduction of new products. This also includes mitigating risks for missing or late deliveries through early warnings and proactive follow-ups.
Continuous Improvement: 10 %
Continuous Improvement: Identify and drive initiatives to improve supplier processes and performance by leveraging data, KPIs, and best practices.
Performance Monitoring & Problem-Solving: Develop monitoring frameworks and use advanced metrics to track performance. Conduct complex root cause analyses (e.g., PPS/8D) and guide suppliers to ensure sustainable problem resolution.
Strategic Collaboration: Identify opportunities for joint process improvements and innovation with suppliers.
Participate in and lead supplier performance reviews, providing strategic feedback and coordinating improvement activities.
Risk Management: Develop and implement contingency plans to minimize the impact of supplier-related issues and support broader supply chain transformation projects.

Other duties related to primary flow ordering activities & OSS management as assigned.

6+ years experience in role with supplier interaction or management in aviation or similar industry.

Understanding of aviation industry
Knowledge of QMS with focus on management of Non-conformances, Concessions, QSRs and SARIs.

The Supply Chain & OSS Manager Equipment must interface and influence numerous internal stakeholders, both in the US and Europe.
