AECOM is seeking an Entry Level Structural Engineer to be based in Kansas City, MO.
This position is expected to begin in May 2026.
Perform analysis and design of transportation structures such as bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and sign structures under the supervision of experienced engineers.
Use computer programs to model and solve engineering problems.
Creates design calculations, sketches, plan details, and project reports meeting industry standards.
Visit job sites and inspect in-service structures.
Complete work assignments within budget and schedule.
Develop strong organizational, technical, and communication skills.
Build knowledge of transportation project development and delivery.
Maintain technical learning on route to obtain professional licenses.
Minimum Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
Valid U.S. Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices.
Preferred Qualifications :
Proficient with MS Office suite programs Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of AutoCAD or MicroStation.
Knowledge of basic ACI, AISC, and ASCE design codes and specifications.
Previous internship experience
Passed FE exam
Master’s degree in structural engineering
Knowledge of AASHTO design specifications and DOT practice.
