About Adaptive Security
Adaptive is a fast-growing cybersecurity startup on a mission to stop AI-powered cyberattacks. We were founded by the team behind Attentive and TapCommerce, and recently raised $55M led by a16z and the OpenAI Fund. As AI drives more sophisticated attacks, we’re building a new layer of defense to keep employees safe from threats like deepfakes, smishing, and voice scams.
Our platform combines personalized security training, AI-driven attack simulations, and automated threat triage. Customers include leading banks, tech companies, and healthcare organizations.
We’re looking for a Visual Designer to bring our training content to life. You’ll work across illustration, layout, iconography, and visual storytelling to help make complex cybersecurity topics feel simple, engaging, and memorable.
This role sits between product design and content. You’ll work closely with designers, writers, and engineers to shape the visuals across our training modules, posters, newsletters, and more. If you care deeply about craft and love experimenting with new visual styles, you’ll be a great fit.
This role starts as a contractor with the possibility to convert to full-time based on performance.

Our training feels modern, cohesive, and visually compelling
You help raise the quality bar for everything we ship
Content creation becomes faster and more consistent because of your systems and assets

You stay organized and thrive in a fast-moving environment with lots of parallel projects
Strong visual designer with a portfolio that shows taste and storytelling
Comfortable working across illustration, layout, and simple motion
Interested in learning new tools and experimenting with AI workflows
Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects at once
Excited by the idea of transforming a space known for boring, low-quality training
