At Acelero Learning Delaware, we’re transforming early childhood education—and strong leadership at every center is the key to our success. We’re looking for a dedicated Center Director to lead the daily operations of one of our Head Start centers, ensuring excellence in teaching, learning, family partnerships, and staff support.

What You’ll Do

As a Center Director, you will:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the center, ensuring compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, state licensing, and organizational policies.
  • Supervise, coach, and support teaching and support staff to foster high-quality learning environments.
  • Build strong relationships with families, encouraging engagement and collaboration in their child’s education.
  • Monitor classroom quality, curriculum implementation, and child outcomes to ensure school readiness.
  • Manage budgets, staffing, and resources to keep the center running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and mission-driven center culture for staff, families, and children.
  • Collaborate with regional and organizational leadership to ensure alignment with Acelero’s mission and goals.

Who You Are

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • A strong and inspiring leader with a passion for early childhood education.
  • Skilled at coaching, developing, and motivating staff.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Collaborative and relationship-driven, able to partner with families, staff, and community stakeholders.
  • Reflective and growth-minded, focused on continuous improvement.
  • Bilingual (Spanish-English) is a plus!

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with at least 6 courses in early childhood education and experience teaching preschool aged children. (Master’s preferred).
  • Experience in early childhood program management or leadership required.
  • Supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams.
  • Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards and state licensing requirements preferred.
  • Pass a physical exam and background check.
  • Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation required.
