Skills
- Proficiency in Java or Kotlin (Kotlin preferred).
- Advanced SQL skills including complex queries and stored procedures.
- Hands-on experience with SOAP-based API integrations.
- Experience debugging and optimizing backend performance and data flow.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, distributed team (EST/CST hours).
- Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and integrations using Java or Kotlin (strong Kotlin preferred).
- Develop, read, debug, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures.
- Support and enhance SOAP-based APIs and related integration layers.
- Analyze, debug, and optimize existing backend logic for performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with product, client, and cross-functional teams on integration, testing, and deployment.
- Communicate progress, issues, and technical details clearly to client stakeholders.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant professional certifications or continuing education in backend development or cloud technologies are a plus.
