POSITION SUMMARY
Project, Portfolio, & Systems Management Lead (PPSM Lead) is a key senior leadership role within the Zoetis global devices R&D segment. This position leads multiple teams of systems engineers, project managers, and project team leads and is responsible for the strategic planning and management of the global devices’ portfolio of projects. The PPSM Lead is a vital strategic leader and influencer within the global devices engineering leadership team that provides the strategic direction and management for the entire global devices segment. This position shapes and influences enterprise-wide initiatives and long-term business strategy.
The role will enable project teams to successfully achieve company objectives including meeting or exceeding project requirements while adhering to schedule and cost targets. ThePPSM Lead has a excellent understanding of engineering and scientific principles and processes applied in a new product development environment enabling them to help facilitate suitable project decisions and be able to appropriately prioritize work within the project portfolio. In addition to providing leadership within the global devices segment, the role also requires outstanding interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels throughout Zoetis, including executive leadership and external stakeholders. This communication includes describing highly technical information to non-technical individuals as well as logically providing strategic rationale for a particular action.
