Product Engineer
At xdof, we're at an inflection point. Frontier labs are racing to build general-purpose robots, and high quality training data is the bottleneck. We're building the foundation behind the: foundational models, the data collection systems, operational capability, exabyte scale data warehouse, and software toolchain to help our partners drive the field forward
As a Product Engineer at xdof, you will own the end to end user experience for our research platform. This is the interface through which researchers at top foundation labs explore, purchase, and work with xdof’s datasets, starting with xdof 1 (XXX hours of robotics data). You will build the self serve product that hides operational complexity behind seamless, polished workflows.
You will pair modern front end frameworks with robust backend systems to let researchers browse task demonstrations, request custom data collections, and track their data from request through delivery. As we scale, you will help evolve the platform beyond data access into infrastructure where researchers can run their ML training workloads directly on xdof.
This is not a typical product engineering role. You will help define how the robotics research community accesses training data at scale, and build the platform that powers the next generation of embodied AI.
About You
We are looking for a high agency engineer who cares deeply about product quality and wants to build the gold standard for robotics research tooling.
Baseline skills:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field
3+ years building production web applications
Strong full stack capabilities with a front end focus
Fluency with TypeScript and React, and strong working knowledge of Python
Experience collaborating closely with product managers and designers
Familiarity with automated testing, CI CD pipelines, and operating production services
