Waterford Research Institute is seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead technology strategy and operations for its expanding educational programs. This remote role requires a visionary leader who can enhance user experience and drive the organization's mission forward.
Responsibilities: The CTO will oversee technology strategy and execution, manage technology teams, ensure seamless collaboration between departments, define technology policies, and drive improvements in project execution and technology effectiveness.
Skills: Candidates should possess deep technical expertise in cloud-based solutions, IT security, team building, and a history of successful project management. Strong analytical and communication skills are vital.
Qualifications: Ideal candidates will have over 15 years of IT experience, with significant management and strategic planning background, preferably within the education technology sector. A BS in Computer Science is required; an MBA is preferred.
Location: This is a fully remote position, allowing candidates to work from anywhere in the USA.

The non-profit Waterford Research Institute has been a leader in the use of technology to educate young children for nearly 50 years. With the rapid expansion of its UPSTART virtual pre-K program, the growth of in-school SaaS offerings SmartStart (pre-K) and Waterford Early Learning (K-2), Waterford is seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join its executive leadership team and help accelerate organizational growth and impact.
The CTO will oversee all technology-related aspects of the business from both a functional and a strategic perspective, including architecture, software engineering, development operations, quality assurance, IT, Tier 2 customer support, field engineering and database development and administration.

Waterford.org team members are located across the United States and primarily work from home. We anticipate this full time, salary position will pay $265,000 - $290,000 per year depending on the education, experience and skill level of the individual we hire.
