About the Role

We’re looking for a Head of Engineering to lead our technical team and drive the development of our SaaS platform. This role is both strategic and hands-on: you’ll set the engineering vision, scale and mentor the team, and ensure we deliver secure, reliable, and innovative products that delight our customers. You’ll work closely with product, design, and business leadership to define and execute on our technology roadmap, balancing long-term technical strategy with day-to-day execution.

Key Responsilbites

• Define and execute the engineering vision and technical strategy in alignment with company goals.
• Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.
• Represent engineering in board, investor, and customer conversations as a trusted technical leader.
• Partner with product, design, and business stakeholders to shape and deliver the product roadmap.
• Oversee architecture and system design decisions to ensure scalability, security, and performance of the SaaS platform.
• Balance rapid product delivery with long-term technical excellence.
• Establish and continuously improve engineering best practices, coding standards, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Drive adoption of agile methodologies to improve delivery velocity and predictability.
• Implement robust security, compliance, and governance frameworks (SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR, etc.).
• Ensure system uptime, data protection, and regulatory adherence.
• Stay ahead of SaaS and AI technology trends, evaluating opportunities to strengthen the platform.
• Champion innovation that enhances customer experience and business outcomes.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
• Proven experience scaling and leading engineering teams in a SaaS startup or high-growth environment.
• Strong technical background in modern web architectures (cloud-native, microservices, APIs).
• Hands-on expertise with [insert relevant stack: AWS/GCP/Azure, Node.js, Python, React, etc.].
• Experience with security, compliance, and data privacy frameworks.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Track record of building scalable, secure, and reliable SaaS products.

• The salary range for this position is $150-190K + 15% annual bonus.
