The role is primarily accountable for support Visa business functions with the development and exceptions to the Visa Rules, addressing Visa Rules inquiries, and conduct initial reviews of Spanish translations of Visa Rules. As required, the role involves managing the complete Visa Rules Committee (VRC) approval process for global and regional tactical and complex waivers. Additionally, the individual performs comprehensive reviews of Spanish translations of Visa Rules, and handles billing for waiver extensions.

The role will also interact with senior Visa Inc. staff and Local and Regional Management to facilitate development and exceptions to the Visa Rules.

The successful candidate will oversee multiple proposals in collaboration with business sponsors, prioritizing initiatives and directing staff across various business functions to ensure regulatory and strategic compliance with Visa's framework. This includes upholding the Visa International By-Laws and the Visa Core Rules & Product and Service Rules. Key responsibilities also include reviewing Visa Business News articles before publication, communicating the implementation of new rules and waiver approvals to affected clients, and supporting the continuous development and maintenance of departmental processes and procedures.
The role works independently under limited supervision. The role may help coordinate wider projects, including but not limited to the development of new tools, and rules publication quality assurance assistance. The role will influence others within job function and may provide guidance to Visa internal staff.

The position must independently manage priorities, liaising with business functions as required based on Visa strategy and key business drivers, using discretion within the regulatory framework, while assessing the impact on the Visa brand, the integrity of the network, the client’s businesses and the feasibility of suggested remedial action in case of waivers. Furthermore, they will support the Visa Rules Committee Due Diligence and Governance Process and represent the Visa Rules Management team within global and regional offices to ensure the effective maintenance and introduction of Visa global initiatives and best practices.
