Full Stack Engineer
Skills
- Proficiency in at least one backend language (Python or TypeScript preferred).
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating third‑party services.
- Proficient with modern web technologies (HTML5, CSS/SASS, JavaScript) and a JS framework (React + TypeScript preferred).
- Experience with relational databases or other data storage technologies.
- Experience writing automated unit tests and working with CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of secure coding practices and data protection (PCI/GDPR awareness).
- Experience troubleshooting performance, integrations, and data pipelines.
- Good communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end OTA features (booking flows, search, account and post-booking experiences).
- Build scalable backend services and APIs for inventory search, pricing, reservations, payments, and user data.
- Create responsive, accessible, high-performance front-end interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Integrate with third-party travel provider APIs (GDSs, hotels, car rentals, insurance) and handle data normalization and error cases.
- Develop middleware and data pipelines to synchronize external pricing, availability, itineraries, and confirmations.
- Troubleshoot integrations, performance bottlenecks, and data mismatches across vendor systems.
- Apply secure coding practices and ensure compliance with industry standards (PCI, GDPR as applicable).
- Monitor platform performance, optimize load times and improve resiliency for high-traffic usage.
- Write automated tests, participate in code reviews, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Participate in sprint planning, estimation, grooming, and cross-functional delivery with Product and Design.
- Investigate production incidents and implement long-term scalable fixes.
- Identify and drive reductions in technical debt and improvements in platform extensibility.
Education
- College education strongly preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 1 year professional software engineering experience.
