Skills
- Strong command of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals
- Experience with modern tooling and frameworks (React, Sass, Tailwind)
- Solid understanding of accessibility standards and semantic markup
- Performance best practices for the web
- Familiarity with CMS platforms (WordPress or Craft CMS) and decoupled CMS architectures
- Experience with responsive design and interaction patterns
- Comfort using Git and modern front-end workflows
- Good written and verbal communication for remote collaboration
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools
Responsibilities
- Implement high-quality HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to bring designs to life with attention to accessibility, semantics, and performance.
- Translate design files into responsive, interactive interfaces and make informed trade-offs across breakpoints and constraints.
- Own front-end quality: semantic markup, efficient styles, smooth interactions, accessibility, and performance optimization.
- Communicate technical decisions and trade-offs clearly to designers, clients, and teammates; write documentation.
- Collaborate across disciplines and contribute technical thinking during all project phases, not just at handoff.
- Lead and mentor other engineers through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and close collaboration.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Design, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Continuing professional development or portfolio demonstrating front-end work
