Job Summary
The SOC Analyst I monitors and analyzes an infrastructure for security threats. You will use a variety of security tools and technologies to detect and respond to potential attacks, and they also work to improve the organization's overall security posture.
Location: Grand Rapids, MI (In office required)
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Monitors and analyzes security logs and alerts for suspicious activity
Investigates security incidents and reports findings to senior analysts
Responds to security incidents by following established incident response playbooks
Performs vulnerability assessments and risk assessments
Stays up to date on the latest security threats and trends
Position requires being part of an on call rotation
Qualifications
Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or equivalent experience.
0-2 years of experience in a SOC or similar role.
Strong understanding of security tools and technologies.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
