General Role Description
Provide technical leadership for the research and development of data-driven solutions for predicting product failures
Role Accountabilities
· Identify, collect, and consolidate relevant product data from various sources
· Analyze, validate and visualize data using Python
· Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity of collected data through validation
· Identify actionable data insights using statistical and machine learning techniques
· Ensure proper tracking and data instrumentation for new features and products, in collaboration with cross-functional teams
· Perform in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis of product performance, user behavior, and market trends
· Develop and monitor key product metrics, dashboards, and reports to track performance, identify anomalies, and uncover opportunities to avoid unplanned outages of equipment
· Conduct root cause analysis for product issues and identify areas for improvement
· Utilize statistical methods to validate hypotheses and measure the impact of product changes
· Translate complex data findings into clear, concise, and actionable product insights for various stakeholders
· Develop compelling data-driven narratives and presentations to inform product strategy, solutions and services strategy, roadmaps, and feature prioritization
· Proactively identify new product opportunities, new services, potential pain points, and areas for innovations based on data
· Provide technical consulting, coaching, and training to group company engineering and commissioning team members to transfer knowledge of Company process and product solutions and ensure successful project execution, as assigned
· Provide technical support to the business unit sales team in the areas of product development, technical presentations, and proposal review, and advise as assigned
· Identify potential breakthrough technologies, solutions, and services that address the present needs of our clients or that create demand
· Provide technical consultation on products, solutions, and services to the development team for the development of solutions for internal clients
· Expand business unit (BU) product, solutions, and services offerings so that they provide client value across Company business segments

Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor of science degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or data science or equivalent via education and/or work experience
· 5 years’ experience in data analytics or science role, with a strong focus on product performance prediction.
· Demonstrated proficiency in statistical programming languages, such as Python for data analysis, visualization, machine learning, and modeling
· Demonstrated success elevating aggregate knowledge and skills of the engineering team(s) and sharing knowledge proactively
· Demonstrated innovative problem-solving skills
· Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts
· Demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills
· Demonstrated continuous improvement in areas of responsibility
· Demonstrated proficiency with SQL and related databases
· Availability to travel, internationally and domestically, up to 20%, often with limited notice
Preferred Qualifications
· Master’s or PhD in electrical engineering with a concentration in controls and power electronics
· Experience in power-electronics based product analytics
· Experience in industries such as ports, steel mills, solar plants, and energy storage plants
· Experience in financial modeling within the energy industry
· Demonstrated proficiency in product analytics platform
· Demonstrated proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP,
· Demonstrated proficiency in data tools such as Spark, Hadoop
