The Substitute Program Leader position involves working part-time to mentor and support students in a safe and nurturing environment while assisting with homework and engaging them in academic enrichment activities.
Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include providing homework assistance, fostering a positive environment, supporting students in behavior management, and ensuring safety during school activities.
Skills: Candidates must have experience working with children, effective communication skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate young students.
Qualifications: High School diploma or G.E.D., plus additional college units or passing an Aide Test; availability for at least 3 days a week is required.
Location: Job is based in El Monte, CA, with opportunities to work in multiple locations in the region.

Pay Rate: $20/hourSubstitute Program Leaders may work at different sites throughout the region and receive their assignments based on their availability. Substitute Program Leaders work directly with a group of students (ratio is contingent upon CDC guidelines), acting as a positive adult role model, coach, and mentor. Substitute Program Leaders must have a genuine interest in the growth, development, and provision of a safe and nurturing environment for the students they teach. Substitute Program Leader’s ability to establish authority through leadership, communication, and most importantly patience, will be required in giving our students the stability and nurturing atmosphere they need to succeed.
