- Clinical diagnosis and management of acute and chronic conditions in older adults
- Experience with SNF/long-term/post-acute care workflows
- Proficiency with EHR systems (ChartEasy™, PointClickCare, MatrixCare, American HealthTech)
- Supervising and collaborating with APPs (NPs/PAs)
- Participation in quality improvement and regulatory compliance activities
Responsibilities
- Serve as medical director for skilled nursing facilities, leading administrative and quality initiatives
- Attend and participate in monthly QA and process improvement meetings and implement quality initiatives
- Act as attending physician for facility residents, providing comprehensive primary and acute care
- Collaborate with and supervise Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants in day-to-day resident care
- Review and revise facility clinical guidelines and ensure regulatory compliance
- Document care in ChartEasy™ and work with facility EHRs such as PointClickCare, MatrixCare, and American HealthTech
- Participate in Chronic Care Management, Transitional Care, RPM, and other clinical programs
- Provide medical oversight, staff training, and clinical guidance to facility staff
Education
- M.D. or D.O. (required)
- Active medical license in Missouri (or ability to obtain)
- Current DEA registration or ability to obtain (if required by facility)
