Responsibilities
- Use editorial judgment to shape newscast content and tone
- Collaborate with producers and newsroom teams to create fast-paced, engaging morning newscasts
- Develop, write, shoot and edit news stories for TV, mobile and social platforms
- Report breaking news live on-air and provide accurate, calm coverage
- Use social media and social listening to source story ideas and post daily on digital platforms
- Conduct interviews, research facts and ensure credibility of reporting
- Create original community-focused enterprise and impact journalism
- Incorporate creative production techniques (graphics, viewer content, webcam interviews) to enhance stories
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications or related field preferred
- Equivalent professional newsroom experience accepted
