Skills
- Proficiency in at least one backend language (Node.js, Python, Java, C#)
- Strong JavaScript and modern front-end library/framework experience
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs
- Database experience (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
- Cloud platform and cloud security experience
- Hands-on knowledge of incident response (IR) and SOC operations
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD practices
- Experience integrating third-party security tooling and automation
- Exposure to AI agent frameworks or LLM orchestration (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy core features for the SURF[IR] platform
- Build integrations with third-party security tools and services
- Implement secure, scalable server-side components and RESTful APIs
- Develop responsive front-end interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security
- Drive the engineering roadmap and deliver projects on schedule
- Lead sprint planning, track progress, and report status to stakeholders
- Mentor and share knowledge with other engineers
- Explore and incorporate AI agents and agentic workflows into operations
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, CTO, and operational teams
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field or equivalent practical experience
- Relevant professional experience in cybersecurity engineering or incident response
