JOB SUMMARY

Performs various computed tomography (CT) procedures on computerized equipment. This includes transferal of images, archiving and performing of appropriate scanning protocols. Works under guidance of Radiologists and participates in resident training program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the hospital's policies and procedures, including its Service Standards and its Code of Conduct.
* Administers IV contrast in accordance with department policy.
* Ensures that equipment and accessories are maintained and functioning. Reports problems to supervisor.
* Evaluates CT scans for technical quality, collate processed images in sequence of exposure and appropriately label. Transmits all exams to PACS (Picture archiving and communication systems).
* Instructs and prepares patients for imaging procedure.
* Logs exams in log book under proper exam number and disk number. Keeps accurate records including entries in exam logbook and achieving process.
* Performs specialized tasks associated with the operation of CT scanners and related equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures. Performs routine and specialized CT exams.
* Photographs and develops exam films in accordance with the department standards. Maintains high degree of exam quality (proper DFOV -Display Field of View, protocol, name and MRN ' Medical Record Number).
* Positions patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.
* Scans patients in time allotted as per department standards. Efficiently prepares rooms for maximum utilization.
* Troubleshoots, reboots, calls help line, calls service and/or involves other individuals as appropriate.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
* Education: Requirement met by License/Certification Requirement.
* Experience: One (1) year of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
* License/Certification: Certified by the State of California Department of Health Services in Diagnostic Radiology (CRT).

Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role.
Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.
Minimum to Midpoint Range (Hourly): $71.25 to $79.93
