At St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital our top priority is caring for the children in our community. We believe that all children should have access to the highest quality health care services available. Our hospital has a staff of over 400 nurses, therapists, and other dedicated pediatric caregivers. St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital has earned the trust and respect of thousands of children and their families, and we honor that trust as we help children heal. The Pediatric ICU (PICU) has 13 beds and a pediatric trauma unit.

   

What you can expect from this role

  • Part Time position available in the Boise PICU Department
  • 2 x 12 hour shifts per week on Nights (1900-0730)
  • Shift differential pay offered
  • Eligible to apply for scholarships to pursue nursing education

 

Qualifications: CNA 

 

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Current CNA Certification in the State of Practice
  • American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider certification

Qualifications: Nurse Apprentice 

 

Licenses/Certifications: 

 

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited school of nursing (ACEN, CCNE, or CNEA accreditations)
  • Experience: 0 years experience
  • Licenses/Certifications:
  • Nurse Apprentice Letter OR Nursing Intern Letter from the State Board of Nursing . The Nurse Apprentice is able to remain in the Nurse Apprentice position following graduation while awaiting RN or GN Licensure or 90 days, whichever comes first.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
