- Strong foundation in digital signal processing theory and algorithm development
- Experience with system-level modeling and simulation for RF/DSP systems
- Practical experience with software development, debugging, and performance optimization
- Familiarity with FPGA integration and collaboration with hardware teams
- Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret/TS-SCI clearance (ITAR requirements apply)
- Effective written and verbal communication in cross-functional teams
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as required
Responsibilities
- Drive program-level firmware and software design decisions for DSP systems
- Research and prototype novel solutions for large-scale RF and signal-processing systems
- Design, implement, and test on-orbit and ground-based signal-processing algorithms
- Collaborate closely with FPGA, RF/antenna, hardware, and software engineers to integrate and validate systems
- Perform on-orbit demonstrations, testing, and iteration to move designs to operational capability
- Support debugging, performance optimization, and unit testing for deployed systems
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering (preferred)
- Or 3+ years of professional DSP engineering experience in lieu of degree
- Initiation and ability to complete Top Secret clearance process
