Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collect, manipulate, and analyze a wide variety of data (sales, gross profit, pitch/shrink, shopper loyalty and basket level) leveraging business analytics, big data, a/b testing, and statistics to complement existing business intelligence functionalities in resolving key business questions and tactics.

• Perform intermediate statistical analysis to support business needs.

• Design, develop, and deliver analytical solutions, resulting in decision support models and state of the art visualizations.

• Work with historical and existing data available within SMI to undertake advanced forecasting.

• Collect and analyze data to build predictive models in support of business optimization and in collaboration with Data Science team.

• Execute data analysis across SMI's business segments and categories, in order to design solutions and proposals to enable decision processes for different business leads.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Required Education: Master’s Degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or a closely-related field, with concentration or significant coursework in Customer Analytics.

• Undergraduate degree or prior training/experience in Business, Marketing or closely-related.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Strong proficiency using:

  • Poisson Regression modeling

  • SQL

  • Python

  • Tableau

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• 40 hours per week during office hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday through Friday. Corporate remote work.
