About Salesforce
Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.
Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.
Overview of the Role
The Salesforce Event Technology team is constantly transforming the company’s portfolio of customer-facing events: from free one-day World Tours to multi-day paid events such as Tableau Conference, and Dreamforce. How? As one unified team, we bring technologists, product managers, program managers, insights analysts, and a team focused on event operations to plan, build/configure, deploy, and measure technology that powers the event experience - whether it’s in-person or broadcast on Salesforce+.
The Event Technology Operations team works hand-in-hand with Salesforce event teams and Event Technology product managers to pilot and deploy the latest event tech innovations. And then scale those innovations so they can be used at as many events as needed.
As the Sr. Manager, Event Technology Solutions, you will lead the deployment, configuration and continuous improvement of event technology solutions across Salesforce’s Strategic Events and global field marketing programs. You will ensure that the right technology is scoped, configured and delivered to support exceptional attendee and stakeholder experiences.
You will partner closely with Event Technology Product Managers, Strategic Events leads, vendor partners and cross-functional teams to bring solutions from pilot to scale. You will own solution templates, testing plans, deployment processes and issue triage for your assigned technologies and ensure they work reliably across in-person, hybrid and virtual events.
Areas of potential tech platform focus may include (but, because we keep innovating, isn’t limited to):
AI agents.
AI-generated summaries.
Employee event staffing.
Meeting programs (e.g., 1-on-1 expert meetings).
Mobile app experience.
Peer-to-peer attendee networking.
Sales team experience.
Responsibilities
You’ll be able to claim success by being part of a team focused on deeply understanding what our event stakeholders need and use that knowledge to enable them to easily configure and deploy the technology that lights up their event.
Solution Strategy and Planning
Prioritizing solution enhancements in partnership with the Event Technology Product team.
Partnering with Event Technology Product to understand how the Event Tech roadmap will change currently offered solutions.
Ensure solution documentation, templates and deployment guides remain current and scalable.
Stakeholder Enablement
Serve as the subject matter expert for assigned solutions including capabilities, use cases and constraints.
Enable event leads, global field teams and partner agencies on solution functionality and requirements.
Translate complex configurations into clear, actionable instructions for event teams.
Configuration and Deployment
Working within and across event tech systems and vendors to configure solution templates to match global event needs.
Leveraging and improving upon event tech templates.
Weighing and clearly articulating the risks to making configuration changes when the pre-event or onsite experience is live.
Ensuring downstream systems are receiving complete and accurate information.
Quality Assurance, Testing and Risk Reduction
Develop and manage comprehensive testing plans including pre-launch and pre-event validation.
Coordinate stakeholder sign-off prior to launch of registration, agenda builder, mobile app and related systems.
Monitor risks, identify dependencies and address issues proactively across integrated solutions.
Lead onsite and pre-event issue triage and coordinate with vendor partners to resolve problems quickly.
Continuous Improvement
Measure solution performance using post-event metrics and stakeholder feedback.
Recommend enhancements that improve reliability, usability and operational efficiency.
Working with the Event Technology Administrator to make platform-wide improvements.
Leadership and Collaboration
Provide guidance and direction to junior team members supporting your workstream, vendor partners and cross-functional collaborators.
Contribute to a culture of operational excellence, documentation quality and continuous learning.
Minimum Qualifications
Deep experience with enterprise event technology platforms; RainFocus strongly preferred.
Proven ability to manage configuration, testing and deployment for medium to large-scale event programs.
Strong cross-functional communication skills with the ability to simplify technical concepts.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to rapid changes in event environments.
Experience collaborating with external vendors and technical teams.
Willingness to travel onsite to event locations (up to 25%). *LI-Y
