Technical Accounting Manager - job 1 of 2

Robinhood is building the future of finance by democratizing access to financial services and is hiring a Technical Accounting Manager to join a high-performing Technical Accounting team. The role requires a subject matter expert to develop and maintain accounting policies, lead technical assessments for new products and transactions, monitor and implement new accounting pronouncements, and partner cross-functionally with Product, Legal, Finance, and Tax.

Skills

Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
Technical accounting research and application
Experience drafting technical accounting memos and policy documentation
Ability to analyze complex transactions and product structures
Strong written and verbal communication for cross-functional collaboration
Experience with implementation of new accounting standards and change management

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain corporate accounting policies in alignment with U.S. GAAP and business needs
Analyze complex business transactions and new products to determine appropriate accounting treatment
Draft clear, thorough technical accounting memos and documentation
Monitor new accounting pronouncements and lead company-wide implementation efforts
Support acquisition-related activities including business combination accounting and coordination with valuation specialists
Partner with Product, Legal, Finance, Tax and other stakeholders to operationalize accounting guidance

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA preferred
Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s in Accounting) is a plus
